Here is a table I built for the large BGE my wife and kids gave me for Fathers Day. Frame is pressure treated 2x4's (doubled for the legs) that were primed will Killz then painted with outdoor latex paint. Table tops are composite deck material. Eventually I'll get the piece of granite mounted down into the top surface, but it's too hot outside now to work on it.

Looking good...make sure the Big Green Egg feet are under your Egg to give airflow so the stone it is sitting on will not crack...it gets real hot at the bottom of the eggs...

Great looking table. What is the egg resting on. I was going to use a paving stone. Not sure it can handle the heat.

I have started on my table but don't actually have my large egg yet. Waiting for it to come in at my local retailer. Do the feet come with the egg. I am going to sit it on some ceramic tile, will it get too hot and crack or would stepping stones work better. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I just read Serial Griller info. I thinking 2 layer of fire brick with the feet added. How will the composite deck material handle heat.

No planking under my egg.Just three rails to support fire bricks, then firebrick, and three egg feet.

Yes the feet should come with your BGE and yes you should set it up with a paver stone, then the 3 feet & the BGE on top of the feet. You need airflow. And yes it will get hot enough without the airflow to crack a stone and scorch the table...it has happened before....

No planking under mine either, but I just used a paver stone and didn't put the feet under it. Didn't think I needed to, but if the consensus is that they are needed then I can put them under it.
