Is there a formula to calculate how many racks of baby backs to make?

Hello,
After working 6 weeks in Munich, I finally get to return home next week. I can't wait to cook some food on the Egg again.
I have looked in multiple places for the answer to this, but I can't seem to find it.
Is there a formula for how many racks of ribs to cook per person like the one I have seen for pulled pork?
I plan to make baby backs using Car Wash Mike's method. There will be two hungry men and three women, and possibly one additional couple.
How many slabs should I fix? It's ok if I have some leftovers, but I prefer to not have a lot.
Thanks for your help!

I would cook 4.

My math says 5, one each for the two hungry men, another two for the three ladies. Then another one in case the other couple shows up. But folks around here really like your ribs Mike :woohoo:

Thanks for the quick reply!
Would you suggest 4 racks for 5 people or 7 or both numbers? -
What's always worked for me is to measure the cooking area, and cook as many as will fit.

4 for 5, 5 for 7. The last thing you want is to run out.

And there is nothing wrong with that.

Thanks Mike,
I can't wait to make them. The Q in Beantown doesn't even come close to the food back in KC and Houston, where I grew up. -
If you need anything, let me know.
Mike -
Yes there is a formula. Ask how many ribs each person wants. Multiply that by how many peopled are coming. Then divide that by how many ribs are in a rack and cook that many racks. Make sure you round up.
Voilà' you have your answer!
Feel free to pass this on to others...
