Hi temp burn should work, what you might be doing wrong is not burning long enough. Try 600+ over several hours and everything should burn. This is the greatest signature EVAR!
-
You might need to keep them at 600 a little longer, or even take them hotter but then you risk your gasket. I run mine at 650-700 for about 45min.

After you do the high temp burn, take a good size piece of aluminum foil, wad it into a ball shape and scrub down anything that the high temp burn did not get rid of. I then take a shop vac and vacuum the egg out.

Are you talkin about the inside or outside of the eggs? I use Simple Green on the outside of mine, but like the others said, high temp should do the trick for the inside

Fill with lump,up to the top of the firering, light it,leave top and bottom vent WIDE OPEN til it burns out.It will be clean.GASKETS ARE USLESS!!!

Gene - about how long was the "cook" and at what temps? Mine needs a cleaning too.. and I'm gasketless, so temps don't matter.
