The Naked Whiz, one of the local grocery stores was closing..last day sale, and meats were half price. I blew 180 bucks fast like for buffalo roasts, steaks, and the ground buffalo burgers are also sensational. One guy ahead of me got all the choicest steaks. I almost robbered him.
These were buffalo raise on a Iowa location. I can dig out the info but White River or White Water wsa on the label.
Buffalo has a unique very rich flavor to it.
These were done with just a coating of peanut oil, and fresh ground Alessi Italian grilling spices.
    Cheers.

Joel, thanks, the needle had pegged and around to the second time 200 degrees, so the iron was hot. Dang near branding temps.
Thats way too hot for porcelain grills that are meant more for gas burner cookers.
    Cheers.

<p />Joel, its a CharBroil grill that I picked up at Menards, as a single item part on the shelf. Had a blue tag price of $7.50 on it. Needless to say, it hit the cart very fast, and its a perfect fit on the 18" diameter of the large ceramics. But is rectangular in shape. No problem for me. I'm a pack rat when it comes to scavaging parts.

Char-Woody,[p]Why must every subject include a negative comment about BGE?
Like "Thats way too hot for porcelain grills that are meant more for gas burner cookers."
That comment helped nobody and was just meant to incite.[p]

drbbq, don't want to get in on this....however, C~W was referring to porcelain 'grills' vs. cast iron grills, SS grills, etc. He was not referring to 'porcelain' or 'ceramic' type cookers.[p]As always, good que'ing and have a good day.

Rumrunner,[p]I knew that. Nothing changed here. No need to speak like that unless you have an agenda.

    drbbq, bullcrap!

  • Char-Woody,
Man, nothing sears quite like cast iron. I've worried some about the porcelain covering on the grills in our ceramic cookers. I had them on a gas burner once and they would crack and peal off after a few high temp cooks but no problem with the ones in the ceramic. I expect these are a lot better quality and the mfg. process has probably gotten better over the years, too. Have fun with your new toy.
