I am trying to get an estimate on cook time for 2 8# butts on the medium. I can usually go 18 - 19 hours with one. My question is that now I have two on the medium and pretty much covered the cooking space with not a lot of room in between the two can I expect a longer cook time. Cooking at 225-240 dome. thanks

1 to 2 hours per pound. They will shrink and cook individually. Est. the time on the larger of the two butts and start checking temps based on the small of the two.

I would recommend you go with a dome temp of 250 and you will probably be done in around 14 hours. -RP

14 to 16 hours.

I have cooked (1), (2) and (3) 8# butts on my medium. Did not see any significant addition to the cook time. As said in the other posts, just watch the temp on your smallest piece.
