Our flag is 233 years old today.
History of the Flag
The American flag was created in a 1777 resolution that ordered the flag to be "made of thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new Constellation."
Two stripes and two stars were added in 1794, but the extra two stripes were removed in 1818. President Taft arranged the stars in six horizontal rows of eight each in 1912. With the final addition of Hawaii's star in 1960, the rows were changed to nine rows of stars staggered horizontally and eleven vertical rows.

Yep. There's something about the American flag that I just love. I can't put my finger on it though.

That is pretty neat Gary...The only picture I had was with the only snow we have had in 7 or 8 years. Yesterday it was 101° here with the heat index of 107°.

Yep. Summer is here. I looked at my weather station data, and yesterday, we only got to 96°, but had a 109° heat index.__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious
