Princess got a new camera. Had her pics on huge megabytes.
I've been uploading huge files for hours.
She loves close ups so I'll keep it to a minimum.
Chicken Kiev
Pounded out chicken breasts to about 1/4"
Made a compound butter with finely chopped garlic, Italian parsley, tarragon, chives, lemon juice and black pepper
A piece of the butter and a couple of sage leaves. Just cause I love sage.
Folded and stuck with toothpicks
Floured
Egg washed
Rolled in a mixture of corn flake crumbs, panko, onion powder, paprika, black pepper and cayenne.
Sprayed with some olive oil
On to the egg
Figured I saved enough fat so I could put some of the compound butter on top
Finished product
Thanks for looking

Nice meal, LS. What was your cookin temp?
-
Fan-friggin-tabulous, Steve. Haven't done chicken kiev since we got the egg...only done it fried. It looks like yours came out nice and crispy. We'll definitely have to try this one. Cooking temp 350-ish?
-
Ben,
I think it was closer to 400* Raised grid with a pan of asparagus underneath.

Steven, it's always nice to have a lower fat version of a delicious dish. Your new camera is obviously working, nice pics.

You can stay over any time.
In fact, we can take a cab over to Strasky's and pick up breakfast.
