Mini Attacked by Lobster

In the end the mini won. Got this from Costco. Looked like it might be a spiny lobster from the straight tail. Not used to these as I usually take off that membrane from the underside of the tail. I had trouble with this as it didn't pull off in 1 nice piece as usual. Maybe I'll just leave it on next time. I usually do remove that and crack the tail to keep it from curling up. In any case this was a killer dinner. Very tasty lobster.
Here's what the little fella was up against.
After the flip.
Ready to come off.
Waiting for the sides. It's a steam bath here today in SW Ohio so I had to have a beer "on deck" while drinking another.
Done and ready to eat.

Looks terrific! Glad the mini won, he he, that's a first class dinner you grilled. Oh-oh, no gaskets.

LOL. Lost the gaskets on the first cook. On the mini the gaskets are a lot closer to the heat. No worries though I don't really do any low & slows on there. Maybe one day I'll slap a new set on. -
Chris, I love the perspective of that 'giant' lobster tail on the mini. If you find one that will fill my XLG please drive it up to Dayton! Yum.
