Jerky Anyone??
Options
Had a london broil in the freezer, so here is what I decided to do with it. This was done w/coffee can filled w/lump and hickory chunks, no soldering iron for heat, I just lit the lump and was able to hold the temp @ 170* for five hrs. Easy and Egglicious.
BTW, I used Hi Mountain, original blend, Beef Jerky kit. :P :P

Jerky looks good. I use coffee can for jerky too. Just got an Excalibur 9-tray dehydrator recently, in my last jerky attempt I dried them in the dehydrator after the first 2-3 hours in the egg. Great combination.
IMO soldering iron doesn't generate enough heat for jerky, I use it for smoking cheese only.
