How to convince wife on a 2nd EGG ?

It's nice to see where the wife gets an EGG for the husband.

Unfortunately I am one of those EGGers who had to explain why I wanted to get an EGG. I did get an XL last year. To her it is just a COOKING VESSEL and whatever the EGG does can be done on our GASSER or in the oven. It can be a bit frustrating at times. Yes she had enjoyed a few meals the EGG has produced but she has stated in no terms another EGG.

I would like to get either a Large or a Medium. I know I am the one who wears the pants in the family but she has put her foot down, so far. (The way I see it)

Not like it is the end of the world but.............

Do it the easy way: " Think I want a new boat", "Think I want that new $3000 camera". Just set the high and let her bring you down to the price of an egg ;)
Or do like me and win one......

After telling my wife for two years I needed another egg I changed it up last winter and said I need two more. Now I have the OK to but a second :silly:

I'm a very new owner myself (less than 3 weeks), but I can see already that I'm gonna want another Egg shortly down the road. My wife gave the 'ok' to an XL, but I chose to grab the Large with a bunch of Eggcessories. This was the first time ever that I downgraded what she was ok with. Hope I can rollover those points I earned when the time comes.

Can you 'WOW' her more with your cooks? If not, I'd start there. Being totally honest here; if she loves the results from the Egg...it should help.

Can you increase your number of quality cooks on the Egg to illustrate the true versatility that it offers? Egg her favorite pie as dessert one night?

Finally, one of my favorite proverbs...
Sometimes it's easier to beg for forgiveness, than ask for permission. :woohoo:

I kind of went with asking for forgiveness after the purchase of my last 4 eggs.
Might want to think small egg. It would look so cute next to the XL your wife could not get mad.
You could also hide the small inside your XL.
May the force be with you...

    Gary,

I sympathise with you. I've been in the doghouse seven times. She bought the first one. B)

    Mike,

The mini was a gift so it was only six times really. The doghouse isn't bad unless it's winter ;)

    Adam,

I built a really big doghouse for the golden, Bear and the purse thing. All insulated with 2" foam and cedar. Little hot pad and they never went in it. I'll take it. Gonna order the chiminea this week B)
