Wow, that is definitely a fixer upper. The top cap looks busted and I'm sure the innards aren't much better. I'll give the guy $50 for it.
-
Tell me about it. It looks like the hinge is busted or gone... I sent him an email to find out what kind of shape it is really in. I'm thinking his $1 might to be too far off...
-
This Egg would make "rough" look good...
Why not take 15 minutes to clean it up a little?
$450.00 is nuts.
DarianThank you,DarianGalveston Texas -
Looks like he pulled it out of the bottom of the lake!
-
it's an old earthenware one from the looks of it.
and the guy calls the lump "briquettes"... hmm. yeah, right
i think he has an old model he never uses, and thinks he can upsell. no person cooking on THAT would spend the premium for BGE lump. hahaha -
Yepper, that looks purty ruff! He'll be waiting fer a while to get 450 fer it!!!Hunting-Fishing-Cookin' on my EGG! Nothing else compares!
-
"A free jumbo bag of smoking briquets?"
Wait... what? -
Just sent him an e-mail asking if he is nuts!!!! :laugh:Dave San Jose, CA The Duke of Loney

If that sells I'm going thru my garage.
-
Looks like he pulled that thing off the Titanic... in which case $450 is probably a reasonable price for a historic artifact.
-
any idiot willing to pay $450 for that surely will want to buy this mighty fine abandoned table I recognized at a former BGE dealer's nursery.
Re-gasketing America one yard at a time. -
Ron,, thats in better shape than mine was
But still easier to restore than that egg
-
Eggs show up fairly often on CL. Some are better deals than others.

Did you just do a Google search to get this list or is there something within Craigslist that allows you to search multiple Craigslist sites at once?

Craiglook.com -
that might be the best thing ever invented (except for maybe the kamado). thanks!
-
No problem. I'm glad I could help.
I've found it extremely useful when buying a car. I managed to find one about 150 miles away - I jumped on a train and bought it the next day. Especially good if you live in NY state. -
Yep, I live in central Florida and there are 20 different CL pages in FL... so anytime you want to look for an egg, or anything else, you have to search tons of different CL sites - very annoying and time consuming. But not anymore :cheer:

Better living through technology!
Now I should describe the "permutation method" in priceline and you'll be king (actually just google it). -
That craiglook.com is AWESOME!!! Just saved it to my favorites!
Some of them used prices are CRAZY!!! I bought a NEW L fer 598 at my dealer so ifin anyone is visiting the gulf coast and want's 1 I'll let you know where to find em....All the other places wanted 700-750 fer em!Hunting-Fishing-Cookin' on my EGG! Nothing else compares! -

Well, there is a fairly strong correlation between geographical area and Egg prices. For instance, West coast is much more expensive than East coast. I paid $840 for my second egg (including goodies - which was a good deal where I live). Egg fest eggs with only stand go for 700 in SoCal.
