Dr. BBQ's 14ft Wells Cargo trailer was stolen in Witchita Falls, TX last night. It is white with green flames on the side. It has a kitchen and BGE inside. Anyone see it please email Ray at drbbq at hotmail dot com

  • seriously? man. i have given ray his (often not fair) share of grief over the years... but that is horrible.

hope they track it down. how hard will it be to spot THAT?

I hate them, too. I'm really sorry to hear this crap.
  • i thought you were talking about texans for a minute!! . ...seriously though, how can someone get away with stealing a trailer painted with green flames??!!! . .are they taking it to a paint shop and repainting it that quickly and reselling it??? do things have "VIN" numbers on them like cars do?

Wichita Falls is really close to Oklahoma, and there are some pretty shady characters up that way. B) I'm thinking that's where the culprits are heading and law enforcement will concentrate their search efforts north of the Red River.

Max, often they will just cut them up for scrap, take a $10,000 trailer and scrap for a few hundred. If they concentrated their efforts toward honest work they would make a helluva lot more money,,, sad but true :(

Here is a picture of the stolen trailer he posted on his Facebook account. Hopefully someone one will spot it and call the police or email him.

Wow, nice trailer. Dual Axle, mag wheels, with A/C.
    Hope they catch the F***wads.

Sorry to hear that about Ray's trailer. Given the fact that it is so important in his job perhaps a Lo-Jack would have helped recover it quickly. I have no idea how much a Lo-Jack costs but right now it would be worth it to see him have it back and some low-life locked up in jail.

I have a lojack receiver in my car. don't get many hits, but for the cost it's worth it on expensive, easy to steal items.

And welcome to the new USA! No authority in schools, prayer bans, local yokels dictating social values, handcuffs on cops, to name a few.. you voted for it... YOU GOT IT!!

hey hey, those Pearl dogs haven't arrived yet ;)
  • I'm a police officer in Fort Worth (just SE of Wichita Falls) and I'll make sure that our auto theft guys are aware of the theft as well as the area auto theft task force. Thanks for including the photo Bayou. I'll also be contacting Ray at his site for additional details and contact info.
Hopefully we can track it down if its still in Texas.

(and dont let my # of posts fool you, I've been a consistent lurker for 3+ years and huge BGE and Dr BBQ fan) haha

This has got to rank right up there with cattle rustlin' in Texas.

We will be on the alert for it in the central Texas area. I have the horsepower (2 Corvettes) and the gunpower (more than you can imagine) to keep up with the thief until I can get law enforcement on the scene.

Way to go, Thanks for stepping up for one of our own, I'm sure Ray will be grateful as well..I hope you nail em..

Actually you don't need a title or tag for a trailer in Okieland so the cops and local trailer guys said that's probably where it went.
