Morning All:
When we were at the mothership last month we picked a pair of the firewires. Finally got around to cooking something with them. EggHatter had requested some chicken so I stopped at Sam's on the way home and picked up a package of 10 boneless/skinless breasts.
Three of them got cut up into chunks and slid on the firewire, then soaked for about 15-20 minutes in a LemonPepper/Garlic marinade that has been sitting in the cabinet a couple of months (none of those silly veggies, just chicken)...
Also did more of the red potatoe planks. These were seasoned with sea salt/pepper & McKormicks "Its a Dilly" which is lemon pepper and dill, plus other seasonings. Ready to go on the Small...
Ready to come off the Egg...
No pics of the firewires on the Large, but here is the chickie pieces...
And my plate...
Eatin' good tonight!
Oh yeah, did the other 7 breasts direct/raised grid, sprinkled with various DP rubs, and will be used for quick meals the rest of the week...

Nice job! I cooked with them for the first time at the OKC eggfest but took advantage of the Woot special a week or so ago and have 3 sets of them on the way. At this point in time 2 of them are for gifts...we'll see!

They were in our goodie bag from the OK Fest. With the wifes we have two. How can something so simple be so new and nice? You can really stack some food on them and position any way you like. Pluse I just toss them in dishwasher to clean up.Did bonless thighs like you my first time. Potatoes look great!

Nice job with the firewires. Can you adjust the fire wires to use on any size egg?

I won a pack of Firewires as a door prize at Waldorf. This thread has me psyched up to try them tonight. I'll see what the Acme has on offer.
