My smoker was stolen about a week ago. I know that all the members here travel alot and maybe you might see my cooker. It was stolen in Decatur Al. If you have seen it please email me at he*ss*ken*@hot*mail*.com just remove the stars. I really appreciate any info anyone might have. Thanks Hoss

That's a bummer! That appears to be rather unique thus being easy to recognize - just hope the thief is stupid enough to leave it as is vs. do the chop shop thing.

Dude, that sucks. Hope you get it back in one piece.

Seems like too unique an item to try and steal and resell, but as my friend the cop says, "I never get to meet the smart criminals". You may want to use one of the national Craigslist search tools from time to time and see if it turns up for sale someplace.

Wow! That's an attention getter! I will print out a copy of your pic and take to the sheriffs sub-staion in my neighborhood. Hopefully they will distribute to all the deputies.

print out some pics and bring to the scrap yards, i got some stuff back a few years ago, had to bring the police in as the owner of the yard knew it was stolen and hid it, one of his employees ratted him out in a private cash deal

would have cost me 30k, was worth the couple hundred i gave the girl to rat him out. everything metal is getting stolen for quick cash

scrap run here with machine shop chips at 90 cents a pound, was buying stainless plate for that maybe two years back. i would definatly put some reward posters in the scrap metal yards

Thanks everyone for all the replies. I have called all the scrap yards and the PD has been checking them also. It was the whole trailer that was taken and there was two trailer locks on the smoker when it was taken. I just hope that I get it back. I have had it so long and cooked at so many contest with this cooker. Thanks for looking out everyone Hoss

tomborello's used to scrap manhole covers when they were brought in by teenagers for beer money. don't ask how i know.

those places are as crooked as all get out

any guy running a scrap yard that accepts spools of brand new wire and lengths of brand new copper pipe... sheesh

You could run a craigslist ad. For sale Reward for the return of and/or conviction of thieves. Make sure that there'd be tags that would show up under several categories.
