Wonderful deck! I miss the woods when they are lush and green like that. You have some nice elevation there. Now you have plenty of room for another egg! LOL.

So what's the plan with yours? Expanded or rebuilding? I still have to run electrical and lights this next week.

I built the new deck last year, but still haven't finished it :pinch: I'm close, but still need counter-tops(concrete),stairs,plumbing and electrical, and need to finish the roof(soffits/fascia/and gutters). But,other than that,it's about ready :P

Phil,
Very nice improvement. Just can't have too much space. I will finish the framing of my out door space today, I hope.
Tell me about those columns. Did you have them pre-cut, after you poured the footings? How deep are your footings? What part of the country are you in?
Thanks, -
Hi Adam,
I had the columns custom cut to size here in Marietta, GA. Each one is buried a minimum of 36-42 inches down with poured concrete. The steel columns are 4.5" in diameter with plates on top and bottom. Each one was painted with oil based Rustoleum with the additive Penetrol. -
Nice looking addition. Looks like you will be gettin some exercise walking back and forth managing those eggs now that they are separated... Hope they don't' get desperation anxiety!
-
Very nice touch. Let them bugs try and chew on those babies. :P
I went about 48" on my ftgs and we just don't have the bug issues, both on a counta the cold. -
Deck looks great !!!
