Smoked Corned Beef??

Has anyone tried smoking corned beef. I just bought a DigiQ DX and am thinking I may give this a try. I guess you would do this the same as a regular brisket?? Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks

Look up recipes for pastrami on this website. Effectively, that is peppered, smoked corned beef. Usually the smoking is done at low temps to 160 degress meat temp; slice thin; kosher rye; dark mustard. Enjoy!

On another subject, please consider changing your forum handle. Another well known member uses "Sparky". See top left of the members column. It will create a lot of confusion if not.

GOV did it last year. I tnink you should soak it in cold water with a few refreshes during the day. Be pretty salty if you dont.

Yes, please consider changing your handle. I almost dropped a load when I thought the other Sparky had bought a DigiQ. I realize the axis of the Eggworld is tilted out of whack slightly right now with all the BS, but that would just be WHACKY!

Don't worry Ron,I'm still "kickin it old school" :P .He already changed his handle though,so it's cool with me If you look at the members list,there are 5 or 6 other sparkys that apparently never post :blink: I only put the " "'s around my handle because Sparky was already taken :ohmy: It's all good though,but it may confuse me eventually...... :laugh: :silly:
