On Saturday we received a nice package. I got the 16 inch wok and spider. We also got the adjustable rig with the sliding grates. We got the stone and drip pan and two oval grates and the rig that let's you cook high in the dome. Thanks Tom for the fantastic service and speedy delivery. Now I have to season the wok and get some wonderful cooks from you all. Tim

Just ordered my sliding rig setup yesterday! Have fun with your new toys!

What's your take on the wok? By that, I mean does it seem like a sturdy piece of metal or is it kind of flimsy and el cheapo?
Also - a dumb question...tell me about the sliding grid/set up. What advantages do those have over the traditional grids? They sure look intriguing, but I just can't quite wrap my head around them! -
Check out this link. There is very detailed information here: http://www.ceramicgrillstore.com/ceramicgrillstore/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=73&Itemid=228

I have the wok and it is very sturdy and a quality piece.

You will love all of the new toys...Tom's products go great with the large BGE (an dmedium & small and mini) and I am amazed at how often I use the tools he makes...enjoy...

One reason I use Fedex is Saturday deliveries. Still leaves Sunday to play, as opposed to getting it Monday and waiting till the next weekend to play. Enjoy and thanks, tomwww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.

Gotta love your attitude. Too bad more business isn't done with the same spirit.

I will enjoy my tools to egg with. They will make me go more effesiently and more better. ha ha Tim

Looks nice, I have been thinking of that setup too sans wok though.
Off topic, nice table! What's with the BGE feet 'spacers' between the egg and the table? Was that recommended somewhere or you just did it?
I am going to be building a table soon and was curious.
Thanks,
Spatch -
Mr. Bunny, I haven't used the wok yet but, it seems sturdy and of high quality. I am sure it will do just fine for what I plan to cook in it.
The sliding grid setup has been adapted to the adjustable rig partly to cook ribs. If you are cooking ribs on the oval grids then the process of 3-1-1 will be a simple chore. If using the 18 inch grids you will have to take it all apart to get to the lower rack of ribs in order to foil and sauce. I know there are many other uses so, now I need to get to cooking.
You have a great day.

Thanks Kim I know I will. Tim

I have to say Tom you made my head spin on that speedy delivery. When I got home and seen that box I opened it up and looked at everything you sent me. Then I went to your site and studied about the many uses I can do with the wonderful things you sent me. :cheer: :cheer: Thanks again, Tim & Cindy

Spatch, I have raised my egg in the table using two thin fire bricks so I can put a small CI skillet under the bottom vent. That way when I clean out my egg I can scrape the ash in the skillet. Anyway, when I did that my egg was rocking some when I open the dome so I shaved three feet thinner so they feet loosely between the egg and table. No one suggested I do that and one person suggested I don't do it because the feet may get to warm but, I keep a close eye on it and haven't burned anything up yet. Tim
