BBQ Maven and I entered the world of BBQ competition last Saturday, using only 3 large Eggs for all our cooks. This was the Slidell, LA KCBS-sanctioned comp. There were 35 Pro teams, including Smoking Triggers (TX), Lotta Bull (OK), Team Bobby-Q (BGE Mothership star :woohoo: ) and many other seasoned teams.
We didn't take home any money, but we didn't finish DAL (dead ass last) either. :ohmy: We made some technical as well as judgement mistakes, but had a great time and learned a lot about competition BBQ - like how HARD it is and how worn out we were the next day ! :(

We want to thank the many of our fellow eggheads who gave us wonderful advice and help along the way. Also Team Bobby-Q (Bobby and Charlie) for making us feel at home in their world of competition BBQ. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to improve our Q scores ! :woohoo:
