Hey guys, just wanted to let you know about the deal that I got.
It's an electrical model, normally $60, on sale for $50 and there is a 20% coupon which makes it $40.

I got it on Friday and picked up some USDA Prime top sirloin from Costco.
Best burgers ever.
Only suggestion from me is to switch it to the fine cutting plate. I had it on the medium, which made the burgers fall apart easy at first.
I ll take pictures next time. I will also try to mix different cuts of meat. The top sirloin was great, but a bit expensive and I would have liked a bit more fat.

If anybody has suggestions for what types of cuts to use, please post. I thought about using chuck next time.

Do you have a link to the store and that product. With coupon? Thanks.

Mix sirloin 50-50 with chuck makes a good burger. When ribeyes are on sale they make a great burger too. -RP

Here ya go, ladies. I used one like this a month or two ago. Just print it and take it to the store. Only good for retail stores though.

If I see an online coupon, I'll let you know.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

    Can't win for loosin...

This almost looks exactly like one of the Cabella's grinders for $200.

If you would, do me a favor and look at the drive and see if the connection from the head to the motor is plastic or steel.

Congratulations that looks like it is a great deal.

Don't stop at hamburgers. Give thirdeye's Farm Sausage a try. That is fantastic, we make it all the time.

Here is another treat, High Mountain Summer Saussage.

You are going to enjoy that new toy.

Sorry guys that I didn't post the link, but I figured you would find it, because of the age of the internets. Same with the coupon. That is how I found the coupon.

I don't know exactly what you mean by head to the drive and I am not in the disassembling mood today so I can only say that the little "nipple" piece that sticks out of the housing is metal.
I looked at the schematic in the manual and that is labeled as the motor, so the end piece of that motor is metal. I don't know if that helps.

The head is what you remove to clean. The worm gear inside the head on the motor side has either a plastic drive piece/gear or a metal drive piece/gear.

Either way it is a great price.

Ok. Thanks for explaining that. It is all metal. I ll check when I get back home, but I am pretty sure it is metal.
