Just got my rig for my lg bge and of course I gotta use it asap.

For those that have used it, I want to put 2 8-10lb butts on the top rack (and some ribs underneath later in the cook) but I worry that they won't fit because of the lid. Anybody run into any problems?

Thanks all!!! :P

Each of the butts are approx. 10 pounders. This was one of the first cooks I did on the rig to gauge its capabilities. Used two different rubs, thus the differing bark color.

If you are worried about space, set up initially on level 4.5 with the butts on the combo grid, then when you add the ribs, drop the butts down to level 1.5 with the ribs on the bge grid atop the rig. Use the stone as the indirect piece on level 1.5 to start then drop on the spider when adding the ribs or just start with it on the spider. Choice is yours.

Tom the probe in the pic on the grill.Did you just clamp the clamp to the probe and clip to the grill? If so, what keeps it for getting real hot from the clip to the grill???
Sorry to be this dumb
