Welcome to the Cult!
1st Eggcessory: a large computer screen 'cause there is a whole lot of reading to do!!
Do the reading and many of your known and unknown questions will be answered -- and you will enjoy the BGE right from the start
check out the Naked Whiz, WessB, Grandpas Grub, and Playing with Smoke and Fire (Thiredyd's) sites. Do a search on this site for them to get familiar with things.
Enjoy! -
I would get the adjustable rig or the platesetter first.

I just did a search (very useful tool when learning) on "must have accessories" and came up with 93 hits. This very question comes up often - good luck with the new egg, and enjoy belonging to the cult! We look forward to seeing your pics and posts!

According to my wife I sure did join a cult, and she has been eating better , As far as must have eggsesories, use my plate setter all of the time, as well as a remote thermometer such as the Maverick ET-73 or similar.

 Yes you did and welcome to Egg-land.
I have to agree that a plate setter and/or thermapen/remote thermometer are first.
Good Luck,
