save the money and buy more lump!
lol seriously though, if someone put a gun to my head and the money in my hand and told me I *had* to buy a small or a mini, I would probably get a small because it would be easier to cook veggies on. -
Im looking for one to take to ballgames/vacations/lake.These two seem to be the easiest to take along.
-
Small, unless you are looking for portabiltiy.
-
if you want it to be a second egg and more of a working egg then a small. we love our mini and it gets a work out but I think I would go with a small if I was looking at a second egg. then the mini next time
-
I would opt for the small given the choice. Either way do not delay to get one or the other. Seldom does an opportunity present itself to get another egg without some strings attached. Strike while the iron is hot and best of luck, you lucky dog.

It has been very popular when we make it. Thx.

I agree with Julie. Small for the 2'nd egg then a mini.

I got my Mini with portability as my main concern. After seeing what people on this board were cooking on the mini I was sure the size would work. Previously I was shooting for a small and then finally decided that for the level of portability I wanted, the Mini was better for me.
If I had a cabin at a lake or a vacation place that had any kind of yard I'd have done the small.
How many you cooking for? If you have two growing boys, a small is probably the smallest you could do. I have two girls and am able to get it done with a mini.
look at the weights too - mini is like 35 lbs and the small is like 65 lbs. I have a sometimes bad back so the Mini is good for me where the small might have been trouble.
They're all good just depends which size fits your needs. -
All te aftermarket stuff fits!
-
Yes - I agree with Julie and Pat....SMALL. The Mini is not called a "mini" for nothing! Small is still very portable, and will hold a more reasonable sized cook for a dinner.

I have to agree with Hoss. I am buying myself another large as well, and i had considered a small like you are, but after some soul searching, I am getting another large. Why get a smaller one? You really don't save on lump, and all of your current extras will fit on the new large too.....so why not just do that?
-
Lee,
FYI, you do really save on lump. The little buggers travel well too.
Although I'm pretty sure I'll have a second large someday. -
I want another large but it dont travel!
I want something I can throw around!.
Thanks for the help -
I have a large and small. The combo works great for us. I'm not sold on a mini yet.
