I am looking to buy a griddle for my large egg. I assume cast iron is best, but I am not sure. Do any of you more experienced eggers have any recommendations on what one I should get? Also, size?
Thanks for any help.

Here's one that BGE has listed....
You can find it in the eggcessories section of the BGE website.

Thanks Wess.

No problem, it should be readily available at your local dealer.

if you buy a camp style dutch oven with the feet the cover turned upsidown serves as a griddle. you now have a dutch oven and a griddle plate.fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

If you're handy then a Lodge cast iron griddle works well
though you'll want to take a hack saw or metal cutting blade to whack off the handle.

Then if you really do like to cook on a larger griddle there's always the cool Griddle-Q. While it's not cast iron it works just like a griddle in a short order joint whether it be for frying bacon, eggs and pancakes or hamburgers.

Those that have been mentioned so far are great on the Egg and greatly adds to your cooking options.
If you have an Academy Sports store nearby you can get one of these for about $10. It's flat on one side and ribbed on the other.
It doesn't come with the Texas Waffle, Eggs, Bacon, Sausage and Pancakes though. But they are easy to add.

Thanks. Two for the price of one always sounds good!

Thanks RRP. I am going to look at this if I can find it online.
-
But the Texas Waffle, Eggs, Bacon and Sausage look like the best part!
Thanks. -
Lodge makes a CI "pizza pan" that makes a very good griddle, and will fit on the large

Check at Amazon. I think they have this one and a cheaper version that uses lighter gauge steel.

Hey Spring, WHAT is it called? I've got several acadamys nearby!

Cast iron griddle is all I know. You will see it on the shelf by the other cast iron stuff. I saw three or four at our nearby store a couple of weeks ago.
Got mine about six or seven years ago for $6.95. I think it's about $10.00 now. Worth it though because you can also use it for cooking stuff indirect too.
We used the rib side to cook these sandwiches in Atlanta one year. They are really good.
I also seared a steak on it one time but didn't take any photos. Really good steak.

Belated thanks. I am looking at some of the Lodge stuff. Their seasoning process sounds appealing.
