My first TRex:
Not being a serious photographer type, the picture doesn't do it justice. My hand to the Big Man Upstairs - this was the finest steak I have ever had in my life.
...juicy, flavorful and amazing textures. Just perfect.

Oh! And I forgot to mention the other half of this dynamic duo; the Egg-baked tater was heaven too. Whad-da meal!

nice job. ...i haven't eaten a high end cut of beef in a restaurant in 9 years now thanks to the egg. ...only beef i eat in restaurants any more is lower end cuts like hangers or skirt steaks or specialty items like short ribs where they are prepared in special ways. ...but grilled steaks, forgetaboutit. . .you know you can do better yourself, so why agravate yourself by spending big bucks on a steak and then say afterwards "i could done it better myself for 1/4 the price"??

I agree with Max. Nw you know the REAL reason you bought the egg. Kiss those $30 steak entrees in high end restaurants goodbye!
FaithHappily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!

That looks really good. Nice sear and perfectly cooked.
On the photography thing, it looks to me like you shot under flourescent lighting, as there is a green cast. Check your camera....you might have a white balance setting where you can change it to "flourescent". That will shift the color toward magenta (the opposite color on the color wheel) to balance the color.
I just did a similar process with your image in photoshop (yours on the right, altered on the left). Most cameras have the setting to do the color coreection for you.
Hope it helps! Cheers, and thanks for making my stomach growl.

Thans for the tip, Nature Boy! I'll give it a try next time. That said, I'm using one of the early, early digital cameras models that may be on it's last legs
