I'm looking for a good sauce recipe for the brisket I am cooking for the Super Bowl. A friend gave me his recipe but I seemed to have misplaced it. I remember part of it, can someone help me out with the rest?
Catchup
Apple Cider Vinegar
Worcestershire sauce
BBQ spice
Minced onion
Minced garlic
I'm guessing brown sugar for the sweet and red pepper flakes for the hot.
Can anyone help?

Why would you want to cover up a good brisket with sauce? Just wondering.

Sorry, not trying to be rude, but I was asking for recipes, not comments or suggestions on how to serve. -
I came across this one earlier today while looking for a new sauce. It might give you a place to start.

Cool, to each his own...

I have this one. Not sure how it would work on brisket, but it fantastic on ribs. It does have quite a few of the ingredients you mentioned.
Might want to check back later today, or even email Richard FL as he has just about every recipe imaginable.
Root Beer Barbecue Sauce
Makes about 3 cups:
1 (2-liter) bottle Barqs root beer
1 ½ cups apple cider vinegar
½ cup ketchup
¼ cup yellow mustard
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Tabasco
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
In a large saucepan, reduce root beer to 1 cup over medium heat (takes about 1 hour).
Add vinegar, ketchup, mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire, Tabasco, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine. Simmer 20 minutes.
Finish with butter to give the sauce extra body and flavor.
Note: this sauce is improved by time in the refrigerator or freeze. -
Thanks Mike, giving it a try. Does the sweetness come from the root beer I'm guessing?
