Anyone notice that Lee Ann seems to cook with pristine eggs at every comp.
Does she get new eggs from the company, and if so, what happens to the old ones.

Didn't notice that..but can say fairly safely..she aint gettin new ones regularly unless she's buyin em...it's amazing how white a high temp burn can make an egg look....and don't complain to me about your gasket if you do one..LOL...just sayin...
-
I noticed that, too, in the first parts of tonight's show. Some bags of BGE lump prominent in the shots, too.
-
If you saw the beginning she said that Texas was a long way for her to go and was able to get some eggs brought to her. Probably a local dealer.
Apparently it wasn't that tough of a drive for Tuffy or Harry as they have their own equipment. -
yeah, I saw that after I posted (DVR), but when you say you get eggs brought to you what does that mean.
who is bringing you brand new eggs to use one weekend and then leave? Are they then selling them used? And what would be their incentive to do that? -
probably a dealer and they can use them as demo eggs for the season.
Last weekend in Lakeland, FL Myron had a line of about 15-20 outside his tent. I'm sure a dealer could say as used by Lee Anne from pitmasters and it would sell right away. -
Local dealers loaning a couple of BGE's hoping people are watching and will want one.Demo a couple, sell em as used or demos for $100 more than you got in em.Which is probably $100 less than retail.Profit and adverstisement.I do not know what the markup is but I'm sure it's enough to cover the good samaritan aspect of it.I know my local dealer does it all the time.

EGGZACTLY!

She stated the eggs were used and the person who used them used lighter fluid in them. Bummer.
-
Light fluid? I would never do that. Gasoline only.
-
Freakin' Texas Eggers using lighter fluid?
Outlaws....all of them.-SMITTY

None of the Eggers I know use lighter fluid!Egging in Crossville, TN

It's really a shame she did not fare better in any show this season using the BGE. Don't understand it.

Ok first off I recorded the show tonight and was very disapointed to say the least. I am the one that assembled and delivered the BRAND NEW EGG'S to LeAnne. First off I am the sales rep for the Distributor for the eggs in TX,LA,MS,AL,and OK! And have sold eggs for 8 years now. Have owned an egg for 7 years! I KNOW NOT TO USE LIGHTER FLUID! And they were BRAND NEW, thats why she commented on how hot it was cooking! LeAnne is a good cook and is very nice. But there was NO LIGHTER FLUID USED unless she did it. She needs to first off own up to the facts. Thats the only thing i am going to say about the issue.

What is your name?
-
It's a "competition" not a show about the BGE....we all know or at least feel differently..but what they are doing is nothing like what gets discussed here on this forum or what we all cook in our own back yards...if that makes sense to ya..
-
Andy you must know MR Bennet.
-
Who is Mr. Bennet?
-
then maybe you should say it to someone that matters or at least someone that is involved...I got nothing to do with this comin or goin, merely stated my opinion...and lighter fluid weren't no part of what I said...I really doubt your integrity in your post..and am fully prepared to stand here and make an ass outta myself...as others already know....to hear what you got to say....your ball Mr Pope..
-
I saw the crimson in your handle and thought you were from Alabama Bennet is our rep there.
-
I do live in Alabama and have met a BGE rep who lives in Alabama, but I don't know him as Bennett.
-
By no means was it aimed at you at your post, sorry if it came off that way. I do apologise if it did.
-
Screw gasoline, how bout acetone or everclear!
-
Crimson how bout Layne?
-
Yep, that wold be the one.
-
I really got perturbed with that so called judge commenting on one of the ribs saying that wasn't very good it "tasted like it was cooked in your backyard" well guess what moron the best food you'll ever eat will come out of someones backyard.
I imagine that "judge" couldn't cook a microwave burrito much less something in "his backyard"
I would bet my salary that their are several people right here that would give all 7 of the pitmasters a run for their money2 LBGE

My question is how can a brand new Egg taste like lighter fluid unless Myron put his coals in it. -RP

You jumped in her coming across as defensive over something you have no responsablity of defending..if in fact you did provide Lee Ann the eggs at all...what "she" did with them after the fact..right or wrong..is no reflection of any dealer, distributor, or BGE in any way shape or forum....so hear you show up bitchin bout things...howdya think we would react...
-
Yes, Layne Bennet one of the best guy's you could meet.
-
Wess typed "howdya think we would react..."
WE???? Who else got their nose outta joint? Another night, another argument. -
I don't reply to anon's as you know..."WE" at least identify ourselves..and there was no argument involved...just fact..BYE..
