I want to put bacon on pizza. Does the bacon have to be cooked or can I just put it on and it will cook on the pizza ?
Thanks.
Gary
Thanks.

Cook it first

All pizza toppings(like omelette fillings) shoud be cooked prior to cooking the pie.

Like the others said it needs to be cooked first - BUT here's what I've been doing for years. I smoke a pound of it at a time and then press it flat with waxed paper and then freeze that "log". Each pizza I make I cut up a piece and spread it around. Works great for us!

That isn't necessarily an accurate statement. Sausage or ground beef can be put on raw. A number of pizza joints do it this way.

Well it's my opinion anyway. Maybe I will put a disclaimer in my signature block. "Everything noted above is merely my Humble Opinion, and is subject to dispute". :silly:

Hey fellas - what's the word on the lump? Shoot me an email-

agreed....when I worked in a place, the sausage and ground beef was either put on raw, or cooked and then went on frozen so as not to overcook it...
If you want the bacon crispy, then cook it first...
one of my favorite pizza toppings is frozen precooked chicken fingers cut up with bacon....makes a great pizza
