Newbie Egger in NC Smokin Ribs in Snow

I am still a newbie, but learning. Six inches of snow in Oxford, NC today. Fired up the egg to smoke ribs. Two big slabs. Thanks to another forum member I learned to put them three hours in the smoke, one hour in foil and another hour in the smoke. I mixed hickory and apple wood. Took a while to get to 250 degrees and hold it today. I could see small whifs of smoke coming out from around my burnt gasket at the front handle.

Howdy from Raleigh!
To post a photo, you need to have your photo located on a web server somewhere. If you have a website like I do, you can just put them there and then post the address of the photo. Otherwise, you can use a service like Photobucket which hosts photos for their users and then allow users to link to them. Good luck! The Naked Whiz -
Good talking to you yesterday Will..
To post an image here you need to upload it to an internet accessible server like Photobucket.
Once you do that Photobucket supplies the codes necessary to get the picture visible on here.

PS never got your email.. -
We've got about 6 inches Piedmont of NC also - the ribs sound like a good idea -
as far as the photos go - upload your photos to photobucket
http://photobucket.com/
Then once your photos are in photobucket - highlight a photo and a box will drop down copy the IMG Code then paste it in your forum post
hope this works for you -
Thanks Naked Whiz. Nice to meet the famous charcoal man. Hey, I picked up some Royal Oak lump at wal mart. Seems ok. That lump from Fresh Market in Raleigh was junk. Thanks for teaching me so much about lump charcoal. Just wish I could find some Wicked Good charcoal in Raleigh, NC!

He's gonna tell you to call me..
You didn't take all my stash did ya??? -
I have never used photobucket. But I will try after I play with my daughter in the snow.
One hour to go before wrapping the ribs up. Seems like the temp finally stabilized. It took longer than normal to get up to temp today.
I took all the old charcoal out and cleaned out the ashes and put in all new charcoal for this cook.
Not sure if that burnt gasket where whiffs of smoke were seen might be making a difference in the cold today. -
Photobucket.com is FREE and automatically puts your images in albums that allow you to select the html code necessary to post img here!Visit my blog, dedicated to my Big Green Egg Recipies at http://www.bigtsbge.blogspot.com You can also follow my posts on FaceBook under the name Keep On Eggin' or the link http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Keep-On-Eggin/198049930216241

Nah, just three bags, but they did have it inside the entrance and inside the checkout area, so it may go quicker than usual.
