Stubborn Butt!

I've read many times on here that sometimes the small butts take longer than the larger ones. Well, I'm witnessing that that first hand for the first time. I got a dinky lil 5+ pounder. I'm going on 16 hrs!! I've had the Guru dialed in with a pit (not dome)temp of 225. This afternoon had some issues with temp dropping into the 215 area, but I added some more lit lump and now that's doing fine. Temp is now, and has been at 175 for quite a while - almost like a second plateau. I double checked the temp with a Polder thermo just to make sure I wasn't getting a fluke reading due to bad positioning of the Guru probe, and they both agree.
It's going to be interesting to see how this one turns out.

If you have the ramp turned on it can also help in making a long cook. Hopefully you will get a nice bark as well. Yum yum I can taste it! :P
