I tried to up load my picture yesterday but when I tried to it took a long time and I couldn't do it. I tried again when Mom went out for cigarettes because her compuetr is faster and I thought I broke her computer :ermm: . I couldn't go to the website. I tried a bunch oftimes but the green egg site wouldn't work.
I' am back on my computer trying to make it work. Here is the picture. I will try again. I can see the website now but the photo doesn't work yet.
These were my new crocks from July forth.
In june we put in our hand made hot tub. It is supposed to be the one before we get the real one. We had a deal if mom liked it, we would get the new one that holds four people. this is oneI actually got from my best friend. It is from a fish pond plastic thing, and you need to fill it with hot water, but it works. Bad part is you need to take turns. Which is why we have the bench. Mom always goes first and gets to send the extra water over.
Mom was at the pool store getting patio cushions for the bench and thats when she saw the egg first. She bought it for Xmas with her extra tips money.
So can I really hot tub my steaks in it ? I searched for steaks last night and found hot tubing and will try it tonight. I will actually try it in the sink because I don't feel like filling the tub. I know you don't need a hot tub but thouhgt you would get a kick out of our pretend hot tub
Sorry for the long post. In the RC forum we always get in trouble for long posts.I promise I will take a pic of the steaks tonight.

fhut the wahhhhk?
if you are looking to put the pic in your profile, there are size requirements. just go slow, check the size. if you get an error i think it will actually TELL you the size so that you can resize it and try again.
hot tubbing is a decent way to go about it. but please, don't use an ACTUAL hot tub. the pics of steaks floating in a hot tub may look cool, but cross contamination (whether chemical or bacterial) is just so frikkin disgusting i can't imagine it. i wouldn't heat my steak in used bathwater, FWIW.
please keep posting. it's a nice change of pace. the post which got the most hits so far the past couple days is a private "ping" from one forum member to another. and so far 1600 have read it, while ignoring much else.
what does your mom make in tips, if she is dropping chunks of cash on an egg foryou? i could use a job at that truck stop. i hear there's also free meat? w/t/f? hahaha
i beg you to post pics of the steak fromn tonight.

ROTFLMAO!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: -
But your comments concern hot tubbing. Dave was talking about hot "tubing". I think you need to use a large gauge pipe for that. If you used pvc, be sure to cook at really low temps. If you want a good sear, you have to go with copper.

Big Dave, the crocs are awesome. Where's your Egg? You should move it near the hot tub so you can cook while your Mom is relaxing in it.
-
LOL. Hey Ma, flip the possum.

trust me, dude. i am staying my hand. hahaha sometimes the serve is lobbed so slow over the net that you are tempted to launch it thing back into the stratosphere. i am biting my lip half the time. half afraid i am being played, and half afraid i'd be pouncing on someone who is unaware....
but i am tempted to have some fun. -
CW wears crocs, too. think those look like his legs maybe?
just sayin' -
I been avoiding this one like the plague.....I would get burned at the cross by the forum if I said a word....

Straight up or just a play, it does offer some humor. It is somehow one of the more interesting reads.
-
i agree.
i haven't been able to cook since chirstmas. just once actually. i gut nuthin to post. the forum is always a little thin over the holidays, and into spring. this "situation" is a nice diversion from the "i got an egg how do i maintain low temps" stuff.
hahaha -
I just can't wait to find out who considers himself to be such a puppet master. Funny stuff! Looking forward to the big reveal.
-
Give in to temptation.
Seriously, how do you get the meat out of the tube once it has been cooked? Is there enought shrinkage of the meat that it slides out easily? Should I coat the inside of the tube with Pam or axle grease or something else?
Actually, I do like the Crocs. I have a couple pair myself. Very comfy. -
-
Steve,
Betcha it's remote control.?
Or Red Crocks  -
RC is for remore control. I have a toy 4x4 that is remote control and some of the guys here have helicopters and other cool stuff. We run them in the pit out back.
Thank you everybody for your comments. I am going to head out to the store and get some steaks. Peace!
