Big Green Egg - EGGhead Forum - The Ultimate Cooking Experience...
It doesn’t get much hotter than the EGG cookin’ in July! Make sure to keep yourself hydrated with a bit of whatever you’re using for the Beer Can Chicken. Ice Cream Sandwiches are also a great way to stay cool. Looking for some great ideas for a summer cook out? Try out a Pimento Cheeseburger or Dr. BBQ’s Spare Rib Surprise. Just don’t be surprised if your neighbors stop by for a quick bite when they smell what you’re cooking!

Hello Everyone! We are sponsoring a Real Eggfest on Feb 13(not the 15th-working with Big Green Egg and the Banner Ad Person to Change this) in our Parking Lot. We are very excited to Hold this event. We are NOT the same people that did the "eggfest"last year that people were disappointed in. We at BBQ Island are dedicated BBQ Folks and want to put on a great event. We threw 2 huge BBQ Contests sanctioned by KCBS and IBCA last year. We are looking forward to a great event and want any input from our eggheads to make this a fun experience. Please email me at mike@bbqislandinc.com for any ideas that we can consider doing during Eggfest. We will have demo Eggs on Sale and all the accessories for customers at heavily discounted prices.Call us at 480-503-1110 for any questions, we are working with our website people to upload the registration forms but can email them out.

Not sure which disappointing eggfest you are referring to but don't think it's right to slam the efforts of another, that would be my first suggestion for a new eggfest.

Hi Mike, this is Anne, I talked to you on Sat. at the store. Thanks for the info and I'm really looking forward to the fest. I'm going to be getting in touch with you, after looking at your website I'm seriously thinking of putting in an outdoor kitchen area. You have some really beautiful setups. Also count me in for a large demo egg. Is there somewhere I need to register?
Nice to see you on the forum!!

  • Sorry, I did not want to imply that, we have a few members call and ask if it was the same people that put it on as last year- I guess some were disappointed in the previous event, so I wanted to make sure that people knew that we are store front and we are dedicated to putting on a great event. Thanks, sorry for the wrong impression.

Mike, you accidentally posted under my response. This should really have gone under FlaPoolman's post. You might want to repost this under his so he sees your response, otherwise he might not read it.

Good luck with your fest. As I sit here in 30 degree weather, I can't think of a place I'd rather be than Arizona. Unfortunately I cannot make it but I have sent the info to a friend of mine who lives in Phoenix. He hopes to be able to attend. If you will Email me a registration form, I'll see that he gets it.

I wish the best to the Eggfest that BBQ Island is going to put on. I was the one who threw it last year and if BBQ Island wants to contact me to discuss last years Eggfest I'd love to help them with ideas and issues we encountered last year.

    Cheers!
