Thanks to Mike in Abita the butter knife tapped in with a hammer (very gently!) opened the egg. Surprising the gasket is completely gone! All that was left was soot and some old adhesive. I will get a gasket scraper tomorrow and go to my dealer (Hill's Ace Hardware, Kelly is the man!) and get the new gaskets. I will be able to cook tomorrow afternoon! Thanks to all of you for your suggestions!

Mine was frozen this morining also I dropped a fire started from top and waited about 30 min and the lid opened. Amazing.

If I were you, I wouldn't necessarily run down and get a new gasket tomorrow. Cook for a bit without it, you might just find that you don't need it
