We had some significant wind gusts go through here last night and it blew my egg table off the patio. The end dropped about 6", but stayed upright.
The casters do not lock, but I had them set to make it difficult to roll in that direction and table, with the Egg weighs something north of 350 pounds. In the past 2 1/2 years, it has never moved an inch.
I have some cement blocks in front of the casters now.

Wow I would have had a heart palpitation when I came out and saw that! Glad it's ok and all. I worry about the wind and hail all the time. I had some workers move my large one time when I was not here, came home to the dome being off. Guess they had picked it up by the egg mates? I still have bad things to say about them today!

wow..... I have been lucky enough that my egg has never been damaged but the wind gods hate my gasser, it has gone across the yard 3 times now......
smart wind gods!!!!

I'd say you were very lucky that you got through that without any damage.
My old gasser blew over three times, really makes a mess (old design that used laval rocks). Max wind during that period was 50 mph. Since the XL BGE arrived our max wind has been 45 mph and the BGE hasn't budged. It's situated on the long table. I was concerned the full cover would catch a lot of wind, but so far so good.

WOW, I'd have to say "significant wind gusts" is an understatement. Glad it worked out. Are those roses pruned back for the winter?
