Man oh man, these Boston Butts were a HIT! Everyone that was here has eaten here many times, and off of the Egg too.....but they all said that the Egg and I had outdone ourselves this time. Everyone was in shock at how the meat just fell off the bone when I started pulling it all apart. Couldn't have happened without the helpful advice and calmness that I got from this forum! Thanks everyone! My wife said "well I guess we know what our New Year tradition is gonna be from now on!"

SC gets mustard sauce. That vinegar sauce is for Tarheels and a few Sandlappers that get confused. (However, a good vinegar sauce is good.)

That Johhny Harris was my favorite tonight as well, first time I have had it. We had another new one to me, Loose Lips Larry's, it was pretty dang good too! Has a little kick to it, and I love kick.

if you like a mustard base, try blues hog honey mustard bbq sauce. tried it two weeks ago for first time. darn good. also, good on wings.

Great Cook, Mr. Parrothead. I have enjoyed following your adventures on these butts. However, don't listen to these highly opinionated people talking about their flavorite sauces. The best dipping sauce I ever had came from Elder Ward's recipe, the Western North Carolina Piedmont Sauce. http://www.eggheadforum.com/index.php?option=com_recipes&Itemid=71&func=detail&id=114
That sauce will knock your socks off. Just my highly un-opinionated opinion. Don't wait until another New Year to cook the next one.
