Prime Rib - Delish!
Blue Ridge Smoke
Posts: 100
First prime rib cook was awesome! Marinated the meat overnight, then used the tips on putting foil balls under the drip pan to help out. Everything about the meal was awesome.
The Sam's side of beef will be enjoyed for many more meals in the future!!

Thanks! I pulled it off at 120, let it rest for a half hour while I finished the rest of the meal, and then put it back on for 10 min or so to heat up/sear the outside. Very tasty!!!

Thanks!

Man that looks awesome! I haven't cooked prime rib yet. But after seeing your pics I really need to. Probably won't look as good as yours though.

That looks awesome. I will bookmark that site and get back to it when I finally get the courage to try a "Prime." Thanks for sharing.

Fact. I do not know if it is Nation wide but the Sam's in my area only sells Choice, not select meat. I have never had a bad piece of mamal flesh from Sam's EVER!

I may not be able to fight the earge to cook one of those for just the wife and I. Looks Good.

It was a good tasting piece of beef -- good thing, since I still have over 10 pounds in the freezer!! I wish it had better marbling, but this was perfect for what I needed, and at $5.50/pound, not a bad price for my first prime cook!

That looks incredible. Still working my way through a long list of Egg Cook To Do's, but will be moving the Rib Roast up on the list.
Nice Job,
Bryan
