I'm an 1 hour and 10 minutes into my 4.5# standing roast and the internal is only 70. I started it at 4:30 in prep for a 6 - 6:15 pull. Dinner is at 6:30....or until I'm finished. Maybe the taste will make up for my tardiness. Wish me luck.

Sound a little sluggish. How cold was the roast when you put it on? You won't kill it by raising the temps but they are really good cooked slow. I would let things go for another 1/2 hour and see what you have then. My Mom always said that they will love your food if you serve late

mid 30's initially. I'm at 275 now with an internal at 97. 1hr 42min into cook. I calibrated my stoker a couple of months ago so feel good about that. Patience is a virtue. That and the wife decided to head out and get one more gift for the boys. pulled at 120 and now resting. Will carve at 7:15. Congrats - sounds perfect. I cooked an 8.5# rib roast last night (slow at 225 then sear at 500 at the end) and it was Fantastic. hope yours was just as good. Merry Christmas!!
