I think the hardest part will be lifting that much weight to get it to the van. Might want to consider disassembling it.
Or a better idea would be to get another smaller EGG one that is easier to transport. -
I got the egg and my wife got a van...go figure, now I'm broke

Get one of these. I have used it to move my XL base.

Amazon has them for $29.95 -
Mike I have a Ford Expedition and I get another person to help me lift it into the back and then I slide it on an old sheet to the back of the seats and strap it in with a ratchet strap. I take the firebox and fire ring out and put them back inside once it is in the car.
It can be done but with a large it takes two strong people. Follow steps in reverse to unload.
Good luck Jupiter JimI'm only hungry when I'm awake!

Separate the top from the hinge and then the hinge from the bottom. I always invert the bottom to it rides on a larger base on the floor of the vehicle. Separate all the pieces either by spreading them out or stack them with blankets for cushioning. When lifting heavy pieces wear gloves to prevent getting cut by the edges of the bottom vent. Take your time, if you get in a hurry you'll break something. Eat before you drive. That thing smells like the last BBQ and it fills the car with great aromas.

The Potlifter works for me, as I move many Eggs. I got mine from Smokin Fred an Egg Dealer.

Your last reply made me think about the forum member that has this in their signature: "I got an egg for my wife. Best deal I ever made".

I have a small sedan and my large came home from the store sitting upright in a bucket seat strapped in with a seatbelt (lap and shoulder) and it worked like a charm! The guy who loaded it just cinched the seatbelt down good and tight and I swear it rode like a passenger through turns and stops, I think I even had to stop short. He said they do it all the time. Try it around the block, it really works.

But of course this is a small :woohoo:

Do you find that at altitude the performance of the egg differs. How do you vent the exhaust at 300 MPH? :woohoo:

I love that pic Frank

What year Ody? We just got a 2010 and the first thing that comes to mind If i had to move my large in the van is that deep trunk well just behind the third row. I'd probably throw a blanket in there and take all the inners out of the egg and lay it down in that trunk well. Take some zip ties and put a bunch togeather and run thru the handle and down thru the inside and out the bottom vent and back up to the handle and zip it shut. Just my thoughts. I don't know when Honda started putting those trunk wells in odys tough.

You all should see my MiniCooper convertible with a small in it when I go to football games!!! It's a hoot. I get all kinds of looks with people wondering what I've got seatbelted in beside me, with top down. The best though is when someone comes along side that is an Egg owner though. I get all the thumbs up and horn honks and those wonderful knowing smiles!!!!

talk your family into buying one...

got a 2007. It does have the well in it..thanks for the idea

I'm sure this will be the last time I carry it up there.
They'll have one once they see it in action -
:woohoo: please post a pic of that!
My dream is a Mini in a Mini Cooper Wagon, with a slide out table, so all I'd have to do is light and pop a top, sit back and relax on the beach...... -
We carried out Medium across 2 state lines wrapped and strapped in the backseat of our TSX
Looked like a corpse :woohoo: but it didn't complain one bit :woohoo: -
Frank, that photo is a classic
And your smile is worth as much as that plane costs :woohoo: -
Should not be a problem. People have transported fully assembled LBGE's in std sized sedans.
