We leave Wed. for the in-laws and we are having Thanksgiving there on Thursday. I am just not okay with not cooking our turkey on the egg..so do I dare cook it on Wednesday and heat it up on Thursday if yes how do I do this? what do you recommend? I wish I had a portable small egg and my problems would be resolved..thank you.

Depending upon the distance, I'd cook ahead (Wed) then put in fridge, transport in a chilled cooler, and reheat when you get there, or, if the trip is short, time the departure for when the turkey comes off and then get it there within 2 hrs (see warning from Little Chef about food safety posted here today.)

agree, if less than 2 hours you can transport bird, otherwise put in oven at 250 for reheat.
Good luck -
Thank you..We leave Wednesday night to sleep there..We eat on Thursday..it will be at least 12 hours.

The best way I have found is to deconstruct but not slice the turkey, tightly wrap the parts in aluminum foil and then place in plastic bags and refrigerate.
Parts: Legs, thighs, wings, breast in two pieces.
Prepped this way it is easier to transport, heat, and slice. It is also much more _food safe_.
