hey guys!! just got my egg last week. i am in Lafayette, Louisiana. i also own a natural gas grill with infrared side as well as a Cajungrill charcoal grill. but, i think the egg has become my favorite after only cooking on it 2 times.(steaks and baby back ribs) i look forward to learning and sharing with the Egghead Nation.
Anyways, I got the large egg with the short table. it seems like the table would be a perfect height without the wheels. anyone modify their table after they brought it home?

Welcome to the forum. I'm also in Lafayette. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. Don't know all the answers but you'll get all the answers here. Look up my profile and shoot me an e-mail if you want to chat etc.

Welcome aboard! Once you bought the table you don't have to worry about the Table Police hassling you about any modification you make - just don't modify your egg itself as that could mess up the warranty.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Welcome aboard.
I think you would find that most tables are at least a little modified if not custom made. -
viper556,

Welcome, I too am a newbie, these people have all the answers and more. IMHO, I would put 4" caster on your table, that is if you're on a smooth surface. In Florida we have a Lafayette county, and it's pronounced La-fet by those who live there and around.

Modify away. What ever height suits your need is the perfect height. Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey. Many great tastes await.

Viper556,
If I may be so bold to suggest something.
As long as you are on the subject of modifying your table may I suggest a paver stone under your egg on the table and also the green feet. If you ask around here you may see a lot of eggheads do that kind of safe egging. I brought it up just in case you take apart your table and you may consider implementing such an idea. Tim -

A big welcome aboard from Canada. Your gas grill won't get used much now. -
