What not to do when cooking a rib with the Cyber Q II...
After the ribs go on REMEMBER to clip the Heat Sensor to the grill......
After four hours returning home your ribs will be crispy critters... Heat temp will say 82 degrees, and the dome temp will be at 450 degrees....
Operator error this time

BUT, the steaks were great that night with all the nice warm dome

OUCH! Had a similar event. Got a new thermometer for the Egg and didn't realize the probe was longer. Stuck ribs in and couldn't understand why the temp wouldn't stay up. After an hour of fussing with and adjusting vents, I opened it up to find a roaring full on fire. The thermometer probe was touching the meat, causing a false low reading when it was really about 450f.
The ribs weren't ruined, but they were pretty damn close.

Glad it was operator error. Nothing like "root canal" ribs and say that is bark. :woohoo:
