need a new appetizer

Already starting to think about the last tailgate of the football season on Saturday. I am thinking it would be a great time to break out a new appetizer. Any great ones? These are my usual: ABT's, potato skins, wings, stuffed fritos, chicken on a stick. I have to say that all of my usual turn out really well, but my wife is sick of the "usual" and wants me to try something new. She found the recipe for the Texas Firecracker Kabobs and wants me to try those. Anyone ever tried those? She is awesome and usually gets her way - but i'm up for other suggestions as well.

You beat me to it, Steve. I was going to suggest satay.

I second the pig candy nomination. Outstanding!
-
Ben,
Did you try that one you posted last week?

How about a big plate of Buckeye woopin' :woohoo:
You'll need something strong to wash it down.It will be hard to swallow ..but next week you'll be fine.
Just a little humor..
It should be a good game! -
Not yet. I might do a skewer feast and compare the satay, Raichlen's yakitori recipe, and the yakiniku recipe that was on the same website as the satay.

They all look great. -

I appreciate the humor - but just to make sure we are on the same page I am an IOWA STATE fan. When you are an ISU fan, your second favorite team is whoever plays the Hawkeyes... thus this week I am a huge Buckeye fan!
On a serious note - thanks to all for your input. With all of your ideas it has actually made my decision harder - too bad there is only one home game left! -
Dave,
I understand. Just couldn't resist.a little humor..I know..very little. :silly: :S
Have fun at the game!

Sausage stuffed portabello shrooms are a huge hit with my group.
