Trying something different, today. I'm running low on dizzy dust, so I rubbed with Raging River, slathered with yellow mustard an then dusted with Bad Byron's (Meaty side only).
Smoke wood is a big handful of Jack Daniels oak chips and two chunks of apple wood. I'm interested to see the difference in flavor with the different rubs. I'll start misting with Jack Daniels and apple juice in a few hours.

Yeah, the adjustable rig is the best accessory for the large. It gives you almost unlimited flexibility for grid height and stacking. I went all out and got the spider, pizza stone and sliding grids setup so we can do 6 racks of ribs laid out flat for finish saucing. No regrets at all. Tom makes world class products!

Misting with Jack Daniels & apple juice... Oh yea, babe!!~~ 8 - ),,,

Picked up that method awhile back from Ed at kickassbbq.com. I really like the results. I've thought of trying rum and apple juice, too.
I don't know how much it adds to the flavor party, but the results are great!
I've taken to cooking these Car Wash Mike style with no foil and have had great results with a raised indirect at about 235º dome on top of the rig with spares.
Do you do the mist thing, as well, Rascal?
Joe -
Yes, but so far, only with a mix of apple juice & cider vinegar...

Those look tasty Joe,I like to spray w/spiced rum-apple juice,it seems to add some richness to the flavors.
