Is it bad to keep food in cast iron? Or, should I transfer to something else before puting it in the fridge? I just dont know

I would transfer to another container for the frig, especially any tomatoe base sauce or acidic foods.

Chili verde with lots of tomatillos... Just a ton of it to move!
-
I agree with Richard.

Transferring it now...thanks
-
When I make chili verde I always transfer it as the sweet tomatillos are acidic and pick up a tart taste if left in the DO. Just be sure the chili temp is finger warm so as not to create another problem, botulism. Like hot turkey stuffing in a cold turkey cavity.
