Well yesterday was indeed a mile stone as my wife had her last Chemo treatment!!! She did excellent for the entire 6 treatments. She now gets a break until after Thanksgiving then it is 6 weeks of Radiation everyday. The one thing she can not wait for, is to have her taste buds back. Chemo makes everything taste lousy but I have to say may wife is a real trooper.
Everyday is Saturday and tomorrow is always Sunday.

Railroader, the radiation is usually a piece of cake compared to the chemo. It's just annoying that it's every day. One trick to use is imagery: during the actual blasts of radiation, picture the good cells with little lead umbrellas protecting them and any evil cells wincing and shriveling up. It's mind over matter and can sometimes really cut down the side effects on the skin.
How great that Mrs. Railroader can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. A lot to be thankful for! -
Wonderful news. Hope you both can take a break from all the stress and just have some good times for awhile

I have been away from the forum for a while so I am not aware of your wife's situation but please know that I will hold her in my prayers until she is, once again, well and healthy.
