Used my cast iron grate for the first time tonight on a Buffalo Tri-Tip & Top Sirloin. Stuck to the basics: Garlic & Onion Powder, Worcesterhire Pepper, and salt. Cooked them at 550 for about a total of 6 minutes per side (rotating every couple minutes. DY-NO-MITE eats.
Then it was pumpkin carving time, followed by pumpkin seed roasting. I love this time of year!
Keep it simple. Steaks and veggies.
My first sear marks . . . I was so proud of myself . . .

Nice! I did some Bison tenderloin earlier this summer and it was really good. Bison is very pricey, but i is supposed to be a lot healthier than beef. You must be lucky to have access to such interesting cuts of Bison. I have only ever seen tenderloin.
Shoulda roasted them pumpkin seeds in the Egg!

We ran out of time to be cookin the seeds on the egg . . . though that was the original plan. And thanks for the compliment on the family. They obviously get their looks from Mom. The curly hair came from me though. Go figure.
