heres my only attempt at sliders, awefully good but too much work for a tailgait. with sliders i think the rolls take a bigger part than the burger, those butter fried rolls on a fudruckers turkey slider really make them good

I typically use hawaiian rolls for the buns. I season the meat and press it down level in a baking pan. Then use a small cup to press the burgers out. Sauteed onions and mushrooms on top with cheese.
