Looking To Buy A Cooker

I have it narrowed down to two. The Big Green Egg or The Grooler. I like the fact that the egg can grill, bake, sear, do low and slow etc. On the other hand I like the portability of The Grooler, and the fact that it can keep my beer cold. And advice is welcome.

You want to cook great food get a BGE, you want to drink beer get a keg to carry around with your BGE 'cause you will have lots of friends wanting food off the BGE.

I would save the extra money and buy the $125 disposable cooler/grill combo. You could spend the rest on more beer!

Portability is the only draw back to a BGE (other than price but think of it as an investment rather than expense). Unless you are going to be transporting most of the time, do as suggested and buy an Egg for home and then something else for traveling and beer needs.

Have you actually seen one of these Groolers? It is built like a cheap Chinese toy, but if its cold beer you want then go for it. In two months when it breaks you will be back for a real grill. If you are lucky you can still use the cooler part for your beer. :woohoo:
