There was an Eggtoberfest sampler class at BGE Mothership tonight. Bobby and the gang cooked ABT's, Wings, Tomato Pie, Cuban Sandwich & Fatties. It was all delicious. Here are a few pics:

Yes, the food was great last night. I can't decide if I liked the tomato pie or the fattie best. I also got to try my first ABT after reading about them for the past few months.

While Bobby was demonstrating the Cuban sandwich preparation the subject of the Havana Sandwich Shop (on Buford Hwy, which burned down a while back) came up. It was a favorite of several people in the room. I found a note on the internet that it was indeed reopening in a new shopping center a few miles north of its previous location. I believe the location is just across the street from the original location of the mothership. Here is a link to the news story for anyone who misses the place:

I hope Bobby sees this so he knows where to find it!
  • Anyone have a good egg recipe/instruction for a good Cuban Sandwich?

why don't they have bobby-Q come to the other fests?

would have been a great addition to the NE fest. andy husbands was there last year, and i think drBBQ did an event at the meet-n-greet.

but bobby would be a natural.
does he hate to fly? they should get him a bus like John Madden.

I know Bobby has attended some of the other fests (not just Eggtoberfest). You could ask him but I know he is also the lead on the BGE Competition BBQ team. I am sure he goes to the other fests when his schedule permits and you are right he is a natural. He is a trained chef & loves the BGE, what a great combination.... :silly:
