Half a new egg??!!!!!!

As some of you may be aware, I had recently fried my gasket - then replaced it. Following which I had difficulty re-aligning it.

The fellow from where I purchased it came over and also tried to align it to no success.

So, the verdict was that they cannot align as the top does not match the bottom! Amazing. :ohmy:

I measured the inside diameters on both the top and bottom and discovered that the top was a full 1/4" SMALLER than the bottom!! :ohmy: :blink:

Mothership is going to ship a replacement, and it will be installed and aligned by the rep.

I'm wondering, has anyone else ever experienced such a thing???

kudos though to the BGE warranty service - just one more reason I'm glad I have one!

Yes, my buddy had his medium warranty replaced for the same thing.

One time in 2.5 years. The Dome was actually out of round. It will get fixed for you.

Yup, egg warranty is wonderful. Glad I bought from a authorized dealer. My other three eggs are just fine.

Yes they replaced the bottom of my egg under warranty while I was at work. The egg is still out of alignment so I called my dealer and the guy working there said they would call me back. That was about a month ago and I still have not gotten a call back. I need to call them again but I hate to be a pest. I think it is in the band on my Egg. I'm on my third gasket(Original then Nomex) since April and this one has about had it.

Half a new egg??!!!!!!
