cooking for our son's wedding reception, small backyard gathering, not the main course but a part of the overall meal...40-45 people...should be enough...right?
if enough time allows maybe some whole yard birds. thoughts?
Thanks.

I have done three 5-6 pound butts for 30
people on two different occasions and we had
a little left over so with 2 briskets and
the yard birds you otta have plenty.
Good Luck :silly: -
Depends on how much meat you start with. If they are 6-7lb butts and 8lb briskets, you have more than enough.

Never go by numbers of butts or briskets. Go by weight.
40-45 serving equate to 10-12 pound of cooked product and that equals 17-20 pounds of raw product.
